Campaign Creation checklist for Global

This checklist will help ensure that you have everything ready before creating your crowdfunding campaign on Crowdera. If you need any assistance, feel free to reach out to or chat with us. Our customer success team will help resolve your queries at the earliest.

Login to Crowdera with your Email and Password. You can also login faster via Google or Facebook.
If you log in with Google or Facebook you can directly create a campaign. In case you choose to log in via email and password, you will receive an activation link in your email. On clicking the link your account will get activated and you can create a campaign.

Step 1:
After Login,
You have to choose any one option: What are you raising funds for?

Add Category: Add relevant category related to your campaign

Country: Select your country

Entity: Add the entity (Self OR individual OR Nonprofit OR other Company)

Then, You have to enter beneficiary KYC details:

In this, You have to enter Beneficiary Name, Email id, Org ID card, etc.
After this, you have to enter Beneficiary Details :

Then, Select raise money options: for campaign i.e.
Start Fundraiser

After this, You will go to the Section2.

In this, You have to insert

Campaign Title (My plan is): This is one of the first things contributors will notice when they see your campaign. This is also the text that will be displayed when your campaign is shared on social media. Ensure you have a catchy title that strikes a chord with your audience. The title limit is 55 characters and should not have any special characters.

My campaign Web address: You can customize the URL, it can be anything related to the campaign (for eg: campaign title, the name of the organization, your name). This can later be shared on social media and other networks. (Note: Please do not add any special characters or leave any space; also do not add any website address)

Campaign Description: A brief description of your campaign. The limit for this is 140 characters and should not have any special characters

Campaign Days: In this, you have multiple options i.e 30/45/90/ Always On.

Goal Amount: In this, You have to enter the required goal amount which you need.

About (Story):

This part is also optional. You can skip it.
Then, You have to enter any three reasons for people to share or donate to your project.

Spend Matrix: How will the funds be used? Every contributor wants to see how his or her funds will be utilized. The spend matrix makes it easier for you by creating the graph of your spend automatically.

Video: Please add a YouTube video link about the organization and/or the project. The video should ideally be about 2 to 3 minutes long. Please add the base URL as a short URL is not accepted by the platform.

Images: Maximum 5 images can be added. Specifications – Aspect ratio should be 3:2 width; In terms of size, maximum size should be 3 MB and minimum 1 MB, in .jpg and .png formats. Images should be related to the campaign.

Impact Assessment:
Share information about your project’s impact with your donors to engage them emotionally.

Perks & Rewards:
You can offer simple digital rewards or go all out and make something customized! Whatever suits your budget. Don't forget to factor the cost of the perks into your goal.

Tags: Hashtags help in better search results for your campaign on Crowdera. Use relevant keywords that you feel best to describe your campaign

Social Sharing: Connect your social media accounts to increase your credibility. Add Facebook, twitter, linked user URL.

Payments and Disbursements


You have the choice of using Stripe, WePay or PayPal as your payment gateway. Please note that the payment gateway fees depend on the type of account you have with the gateway. Please refer our pricing page

Donor Management

Donor Data Download: User can Download the CSV report of the total contributions, which contains donors' detail info.

Donor Data Upload: We have the functionality where the campaign owner can upload the email list and send bulk emails.

The campaign owner can check the shipping details that you have provided while choosing a perk.
you can select all the perks if you contribute anonymously.
If you have not received your perk, please contact the campaign owner.

Our donors' safety is our top priority. Crowdera uses the same secure & encrypted payments technology as your bank to ensure your donation is processed safely.

It's also a curated platform where we review every application via a rigorous checklist, and approve campaigns at our discretion if we feel the campaign or website mission is authentic, serves a purpose and impact-oriented.

Lastly, Crowdera gives you diversity in terms of organizations and causes to fund. We encourage campaign creators to update you about the campaign as well as the organization.

You do not need to signup on the Crowdera Platform in order to contribute. However, we recommend you to sign up so you can track the progress of campaigns you have donated to.

The minimum amount which can be donated on Crowdera Platform is as below:
$1 for global campaigns
INR 100 for Indian campaigns

In case you cannot contribute online, but wish to contribute for the cause, you can contribute offline to Campaign or donate via cash or cheque and campaign owner can add your contribution as an offline donation into the campaign.

You can also choose to contribute anonymously for a campaign. For doing that, just check the anonymous box that appears when you make a donation.

Below are the three visibility options for donations made:

Logged In user name and amount visibility
Logged in name anonymous and amount visibility
Not logged in a user name and amount visibility

Our compliance team and payment gateway partners require your address in order to verify the details of your transactions.
Adding your address provides an additional security parameter to your transactions

All campaigns on the Crowdera platform go through a stringent approval process. Even though Crowdera carefully goes through all the information prior to approving a campaign, we request donors to conduct due diligence before donating.

If the campaign creator has activated foreign, you can contribute even if you are not from India.

You can also download a tax exemption certificate IF the campaign owner has opted for Tax-Receipt. if you have not already received it by email and if the nonprofit you have donated to offers the same. You would have to be logged in to Crowdera account for being able to download a tax certificate.

You can also write and edit comments and how your support to the beneficiary and his cause on the campaign page for which you have donated.

In case you have donated offline, the name and amount of the offline contribution can be easily added by the campaign owner and co-owners. You would be required to coordinate directly with the campaign owner or co-owner for the same.

All the funds raised by the campaign creator gets transferred to him/her, post deduction of the applicable payment gateway charges.
